St. Lawrence Republican June 25, 1850 - Abolitionist Meeting in Madrid

St. Lawrence Plaindealer June 24, 1930

I haven't verified this yet.  James Garfield's parents were Abram Garfield b 1799 Worchester, Otsego NY and Eliza Ballou born in 1801 in Richmond, Cheshire NH.  However there are a number of Ballou family members, possibly distantly related, buried at Chamberlain Corners Cemetery in Waddington. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~stlawgen/CEMETERY/ChamberlainCor/Chamber.HTM
